Salary: $16-19 per hour
A precision machining and assembly company in West Michigan is seeking CNC Machine Operators to join their team. The company specializes in medium-to-high volume production of complex metal components for a variety of industries. They offer a safe, climate-controlled work environment and a strong culture of respect, quality, and safety.
As a CNC Machine Operator, you will use CNC machines to produce high-quality parts. You will be responsible for loading parts, running production cycles, inspecting parts, and ensuring that machines operate correctly.
Set up and operate CNC machines according to established procedures and safety standards
Load and unload parts from machines
Monitor production runs and identify potential issues (such as tool wear or machine errors)
Inspect parts with calipers, gauges, and other measuring tools
Follow ISO 9001 standards and company quality guidelines
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace
Communicate effectively with team members regarding production needs
Willingness and aptitude to learn CNC machine operation
Ability to operate multiple machines when needed
Ability to read and follow written instructions
Strong basic math skills
Reliability and good attendance record
Willingness to train and support other operators
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
High school diploma or equivalent
Two years of CNC machine operation experience
Experience working in an ISO 9001 certified facility
Lift up to 25 lbs frequently and 40 lbs occasionally
Push/pull up to 25 lbs occasionally
Stand/walk for 10-hour shifts
Frequently kneel, bend, crouch, reach, and stretch
Perform fine and gross manipulation tasks
Read computer instructions and inspect fine details
Hear machine alarms and alerts
Climate-controlled manufacturing shop
Occasional travel may be required (up to 5%)
Relocation is not provided
