Expansion Machine Operator (All Shifts)

Located in San Marcos, CA

Salary: $23-$27hr

Job Summary: Responsible for operating the heat shrink tubing expansion machine, including setup, loading materials, monitoring quality, and maintaining equipment. Must follow all safety, quality, and manufacturing guidelines, as well as general company policies. We are seeking candidates with hands-on experience operating industrial machinery—not simple part assembly roles.

 The ideal operator has:

• Experience setting up and running machines with adjustable parameters such as speed, temperature, pressure, and fluid flow.
• Proven progression from trainee/novice to independent operator, requiring minimal supervision.
• Hands-on experience stabilizing processes by making real-time adjustments during unstable operation.
• Familiarity with process tooling (dies, guides, etc.), including setup, changeover, cleaning, and basic measurement.
• Skilled use and care of hand tools (wrenches, pliers, hex keys) and measuring instruments (calipers, scales, dial gauges).
• Experience performing manual product quality inspections using hand measurement tools.
• Ability to complete production paperwork and enter data into computer systems.
• Comfortable performing basic math for machine setup, adjustments, and in-process quality checks.
• Demonstrated learning and skill advancement through training, qualifications, promotions, or operation of multiple processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and set up machines per work instructions.
• Load materials, monitor production, and perform quality checks.
• Print labels and complete documentation accurately.
• Maintain machine cleanliness and work area organization.
• Perform preventive maintenance and report equipment issues.
• Follow all safety protocols and wear required PPE.

 

Schedule: 1st shift 6:45am-3:15pm. 2nd shift 3pm-11pm, and 3rd shift 10:45pm-7:15am
