Customer Service Representative (Part-Time)

Located in Tyler, TX

Salary: $15-$18/hr

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a skilled Customer Service Representative to join a local company in Tyler, TX! We are a full-service Staffing Firm where we work with companies in East Texas who have openings they are looking to fill with great talent we find for them! 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through timely and accurate order entry, price quotes, status updates, and issue resolution

• Retrieve, review, and accurately process electronic orders (EDI) and manual orders

• Ensure compliance with all order specifications, including pricing, shipping methods, and required documentation

• Accurately process government orders and special routing requirements

• Notify supervisors of any product shortages or order issues

• Generate shipping documents, including non-standard Bills of Lading and government-required labels

• Cross-train with the Customer Service and Distribution teams to serve as backup as needed

• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High school diploma required; Associate’s degree preferred

• 2–5 years of related customer service or order processing experience preferred

• A combination of education and relevant experience may be considered

• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to work independently

• Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Proactive in follow-up and issue resolution

• Comfortable reading and interpreting written instructions and documentation

• Able to interact professionally with customers and colleagues

• Basic math and analytical skills

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word) and standard office equipment

• Ability to apply common sense and problem-solving in standardized situations

Physical Demands:

• May be required to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods throughout the workday

• Must be able to reach, bend, and lift up to 20 lbs as needed to retrieve or store documents and materials

• Must use proper lifting techniques
