Metal Fabrication and Welding Associate - $20-$28/HR

Located in tigard, OR

Pay: $20–$28 per hour DOE

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, with occasional overtime. 

Looking for a hands-on metalworking opportunity where you can put your fabrication skills to use? Join a close-knit shop specializing in custom metal grating, where you’ll work with drawings, cut and assemble metal components, and perform hands-on welding in a small-shop environment. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys building things, working with their hands, and growing their skills!

Duties:

• Fabricate metal grating and components based on technical drawings and measurements.
• Read blueprints and drawings to plan layouts and determine material dimensions.
• Measure, mark, cut, and prepare metal using an oxy-acetylene torch and other shop tools.
• Perform MIG welding using Miller welding machines with .035 wire, primarily downhand welds.
• Operate equipment such as forklifts, ironworkers, and skill saws.
• Assemble metal components and verify that finished pieces meet specifications.
• Maintain a safe, organized workspace and communicate with the team when tasks are completed.
