Avoid the commute! A busy office in Fairfield is seeking a Worker's Compensation Claims Assistant.  

This is a full-time, temporary position that may become an evaluation hire opportunity!

The pay is $22.00 - $24.00

 

Under direct supervision of the Claims Supervisor, you will perform a variety of clerical work of average difficulty with the use of computers and other routine office equipment, and do related work as assigned and required. Will perform various computer functions including data entry and check processing, interact with district personnel, vendors and injured workers.

 

Examples of duties

• Types a variety of reports and forms
• Facilitates check processing import/export with bill review vendor
• Photocopies necessary documents upon request
• Maintains a variety of filing and cross-reference systems
• Processes incoming and outgoing mail and faxes
• Produces DWC forms and letters using database or specialized software, and performs related duties as required

 Skills required:

• Type accurately at a rate of 40 words per minute from ordinary manuscript, printed, or typewritten material
• Operate multi-line phone with voicemail interface, and standard business machines
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook. Strong grammar and spelling skills are required.
