Framing Construction
Accurately measure, cut, and assemble wood and metal components for the structural framework of buildings, including walls, roofs, floors, and ceilings, based on blueprints and project specifications.
Blueprint Interpretation
Read and interpret construction blueprints and technical drawings to understand the layout, design, and specific requirements of each project.
Tool Operation and Maintenance
Use and maintain a variety of hand and power tools, such as saws, nail guns, drills, hammers, and levels, to carry out framing tasks efficiently and safely.
Accurate Framing: Deliver precise and well-constructed framework that aligns with project specifications, ensuring structural integrity and quality.
Timely Completion: Meet project deadlines by efficiently completing framing tasks within time constraints without compromising quality.
Safety Compliance: Maintain a safe working environment by following safety protocols, wearing proper protective gear, and ensuring tools and equipment are used correctly.
Ability to lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs) and handle large construction components.
Comfort working at heights (on ladders, scaffolding, or roofs).
Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work in physically demanding environments for extended periods.
Circular saws, reciprocating saws, miter saws, hammers, nail guns, tape measures, levels, and squares.
Power drills, safety gear (hard hats, safety glasses, steel-toed boots, hearing protection), scaffolding, and ladders.
Framing and Carpentry Skills: Strong knowledge of wood framing techniques and materials.
Blueprint Reading: Ability to interpret construction plans and technical drawings.
Attention to Detail: Ensure precise measurements and cuts for high-quality framing work.
Safety Awareness: Understanding and adherence to safety protocols and regulations on construction sites.
Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and address challenges that may arise during the construction process.
2-5 years of experience in framing, carpentry, or construction.
Experience with power tools, hand tools, and various construction equipment.
Prior experience working on residential or commercial framing projects is a plus.
High school diploma or GED required.
Completion of an apprenticeship or vocational training in carpentry is preferred.
Strong work ethic and commitment to completing tasks on time and to the highest quality.
Adaptability and flexibility to work in varying weather conditions and job site environments.
Excellent communication skills for effective coordination with the construction team.
Physical stamina to handle long hours and manual labor.
