Machine Operator - Food Manufacturing

Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Machine Attendant/ Production Operator to work for our client in Mundelein. This position involves working on the dry side of manufacturing, performing tasks such as weighing, labeling, documenting, and attending machines.

Must be able to work in a loud environment requiring adherence to GMP guidelines

Shift: You will train on 1^st shift and then transition to 2^nd shift.

• 1st Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (Training)
• 2nd Shift: 4:00 PM - 12:30 AM (After Training)
• Pay Rate: $20 - $25 per hour (based on experience)

Job Type: Temp to Hire 

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Weighing and labeling products
• Documenting processes and maintaining accurate records
• Operating and attending to machines using iPad/computer interfaces
• Following proper GMP guidelines
• Working in a loud environment

 

Requirements:

• Mechanically inclined with strong analytical thinking skills
• Detail-oriented with a background in GMP/FDA regulations
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and work on feet for up to 10 hours/day
• Previous experience with batch making is ideal
• Basic math skills

 

Work Environment:

• Loud environment requiring adherence to GMP guidelines
• Company-provided PPE including hearing protection, earplugs, and nonslip shoes
• Employees must bring a change of clothes to change into before entering the work area
