Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Mechanic Helper to assist our mechanics in maintaining, repairing, and servicing machinery and equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience with power tools, rigging, welding, and operating an articulating boom lift. This role requires hands-on support with mechanical tasks in a physically demanding environment.

 

Location: Puyallup, WA 

Position Type:  Temp to Hire

Pay: $27-$32 DOE

Schedule: 7:00am - 5:00pm Monday thru Friday. Saturday's OT 

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist mechanics with maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment
• Operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively
• Certified to operate an articulating boom lift; follow safety protocols
• Perform rigging tasks to support equipment lifting and positioning
• Use torch, grinder, and welder tools as needed for metalwork and repairs
• Assist with plumbing repairs or installations when required
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow all safety procedures and wear proper PPE at all times

Qualifications:

• Experience using power tools, grinders, torches, and welding equipment
• Certified to operate an articulating boom lift
• Knowledge of rigging techniques and safety standards
• Basic plumbing knowledge is a plus
• Ability to follow directions and work in a team environment
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety
