Registered Nurse

Located in Fort Lauderdale, FL

Salary: $32-$45

We are looking for an RN with a passion for patient advocacy and a commitment to providing holistic care.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with sickle cell disease, including pain management, symptom management, and education.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor patient vital signs and assess their condition, reporting any changes to the healthcare team.  
   
• Educate patients and their families on disease management, self-care, and preventative measures.
• Collaborate with physicians, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.  
   
• Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and their families.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of best practices for sickle cell care.  
   
• Provide intravenous therapy, and blood transfusions.
• Provide patient education about medication, and therapies.

Qualifications:

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in [State].
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Experience working with sickle cell patients (preferred).
• Strong clinical skills and knowledge of sickle cell disease management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.  
   
• Strong organizational and time management skills.  
   
• Basic computer skills and proficiency in electronic health records (EHR).
• Current CPR certification.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
