Job Summary:
The Safety Director is responsible for leading workplace safety efforts and ensuring compliance with OSHA and company safety regulations. This role develops and enforces safety programs, conducts training, oversees inspections and incident investigations, and promotes a strong culture of safety across all operations.
Key Responsibilities
Safety Management & Compliance
- Develop, implement, and enforce safety policies, procedures, and programs in compliance with OSHA and company standards.
- Monitor and maintain compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local safety regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Lead and coordinate safety training programs, including new-hire orientation, refresher training, equipment safety, emergency response, and accident prevention.
- Investigate workplace incidents, near misses, and injuries; document findings and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain accurate safety records, logs, reports, and compliance documentation.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for safety-related inspections, audits, and regulatory inquiries.
- Promote a proactive culture of safety awareness, accountability, and continuous improvement among employees and leadership.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Prior experience in a safety leadership role within a warehouse, manufacturing, industrial, or similar environment.
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations, workplace safety standards, and risk management principles.
- Proven ability to develop and deliver effective safety training programs.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to investigate incidents and identify root causes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and safety reporting or compliance systems.
- Safety certifications such as OSHA 30, OSHA 10, First Aid, and CPR are preferred.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements

- Ability to work in a warehouse or industrial environment with exposure to loud machinery, temperature variations, and physical activity.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and lift materials up to 50 lbs. as needed.
- Ability and willingness to wear required PPE, including safety glasses, gloves, and hard hats.
