IT Director

Our 3PL Logistics client in Lake County, IL is seeking a new IT Director to join their team! Work for a company that is trusted, hard-working and rapidly growing.

Job Highlights: 

• Direct Hire
• Pay: $150,000+, based on experience.
• Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm.

Job Duties:

• Develop and execute the company’s IT strategy aligned with business objectives and growth goals.
• Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of the company’s network infrastructure, ensuring it is scalable, secure, and resilient.
• Hire, develop, and manage a diverse technical team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, including data protection laws (e.g., GDPR, PCI-DSS).
• Evaluate new tools, software, and hardware investments to optimize technology performance while maintaining budgetary controls.
• Maintain and enforce company-wide IT policies and procedures to mitigate security risks.  

Ideal Candidates:

• 7+ years of experience in IT management, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's preferred).
• Proven experience managing IT infrastructure, networks, and cloud-based systems in a fast-paced, rapidly growing environment.
• Experience in the 3PL, logistics, or e-commerce fulfillment industry is a plus.
• Understanding of automation, DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of agile development methodologies.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and distributed architectures.
