Express Employment Professionals is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mazak CNC Milling Machinist to join our growing team. This position involves producing close-tolerance parts for the printing, packaging, and food processing industries in a low-volume, high-mix environment. As a machinist, you will perform setup, programming, editing, and operation of Mazak CNC milling machines, ensuring quality and precision. 

Key Responsibilities

• Setup & Changeover: Prepare Mazak CNC machines for machining operations, including tooling setup, fixture changes, and part setup for each job.
• Programming: Program using G-Code and M-Code. Candidates with Mazatrol experience are preferred. Training will be provided for advanced programming skills as needed.
• Shop Floor Editing: Edit and troubleshoot CNC programs directly on the shop floor for efficiency and accuracy.
• Recalibration: Perform recalibrations to maintain precise tolerances during production runs.
• Machining Operations: Operate Mazak CNC milling machines to produce parts from a variety of materials to close tolerances.
• Inspection: Ensure the quality of parts using precision measuring instruments, such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the team to meet deadlines, maintain quality standards, and improve processes.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience with Mazak CNC milling machines and Mazatrol programming required.
• Programming Knowledge: Proficient in G-Code and M-Code.
• Technical Skills: Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling, and setups for low-volume, high-mix production environments.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve programming, setup, and machining issues independently.
• Precision: Demonstrated ability to meet close tolerances and ensure quality control.
• Work Ethic: Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Availability: Willingness to work overtime as required.
