Maintenance Technician

Apartment Complex looking for a Maintenance Technician .

Position Overview: Perform repairs and light fixes in apartment units. Assist with clean up, and light Electrical Fixtures
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

 

• Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines, equipment, and the physical structure of the apartment complex are in good working order. Inspect buildings, equipment, and systems to identify any issues.
• Repairs: Repair and maintain a wide variety of items, including HVAC systems, electrical systems, plumbing, appliances, and structural elements of the apartment units and common areas. Respond promptly to resident service requests
• Apartment Turnovers: Prepare vacant units for new move-ins, ensuring that all repairs, cleaning, and painting are completed to the company’s standards. Conduct final inspections to ensure readiness for new residents.
• General Maintenance: Perform general maintenance tasks including but not limited to drywall repair, painting, carpentry, and exterior maintenance. Address and resolve work orders in a timely and efficient manner.
• Groundskeeping: Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the property including common areas, parking lots, and outdoor spaces. Perform seasonal tasks such as snow removal, landscaping, and pool maintenance.
• Safety and Compliance: Ensure that all maintenance activities are conducted in a safe manner, complying with OSHA regulations and property management safety standards. Maintain records of scheduled maintenance procedures.

Qualifications:

 

• Experience: At least 2 years of experience in apartment maintenance or a related field. Experience with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance.
• Skills: Strong troubleshooting skills with a solid understanding of building systems. Ability to use a variety of tools and equipment. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Basic computer skills for record-keeping and communication.
• Certifications: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to stand, walk, kneel, and crouch for extended periods. Ability to work in various weather conditions

Pay is $18.00 - $20.00 hour DOE
