Express Employment Professionals in Chanhassen is looking for a Purchasing Assistant for one of their clients. As a Purchasing Assistant you will be ordering product, checking product availability, pricing and shipping status. This position is M-F 8am-5pm paying $24-$25/hr depending on experience and you must have manufacturing experience!

 

The duties of the Purchasing Assistant are:

• Enter purchase orders for stock and for direct ship customer orders
• Verify factory acknowledgements of purchase orders for accuracy in part number, quantity and pricing. Keying of acknowledgement dates into computer
• Expediting purchase orders with factory
• Weekly cycle counts of inventory and keying of corrections into computer. Tabulating inventory numbers to report to corporate
• Keeping computer up to date on current suppliers prices, part numbers and contacts
• Verifying new part numbers set up by other members for accuracy
• Reconcile any factory invoices that don’t match the purchase orders
• Work with factory on returns and damaged product

Qualifications:

• Basic computer skills and MS Office package
• Minimum of 2 years experience in dealing with inventory and purchasing
• Ability to learn and apply new information quickly
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
• Solid organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple competing priorities
• Good problem-solving and reasoning skills

This position is M-F 8am-5pm paying $24-$25/hr depending on experience.
