Accounts Receivable & Billing Specialist - $25.00 - $28.00 per hour DOE

Express Employment Professionals is currently recruiting for an experienced Accounts Receivable & Billing Specialist in Northeast Portland. 

Accounts Receivable & Billing Specialist Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm

 

Accounts Receivable & Billing Specialist Job Duties:

• Accounts Receivable and Billings administration according to company policy
• Accounts Receivable management and collection responsibilities
• Progress/Final Billings for all non-service departments
• Monthly customer statements for all departments
• Revenue posting for all departments. Working with department managers to ensure job cost calculations are up to date and accurate
• Analysis of customer payments, research of unapplied cash, duplicate billings, and adjustment to correctly apply and clear open invoices
• Proactive in resolving issues and recommending controls
• New customer credit checks according to policy
• Assist with commission calculation for payroll
• Process all customer payments and prepare daily deposit.
• Other duties as assigned

Accounts Receivable & Billing Specialist Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED, Associates degree in accounting or equivalent related work experience
• 2+ years’ experience in accounts receivable & billings, preferably in construction
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing
• Pleasant and patient. A friendly, but determined, attitude
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work with various departments to resolve issues
• Able to problem solve and resolve issues relating to billings, job cost, etc.
• Strong work ethic with a team player mentality
• Comfortable handling customer collection calls
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and accounting software experience
• Maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times
