Door Assembler

Located in Clackamas, OR

Salary: $20.00

Position Title: Door Assembler

• Schedule: 7:00 AM-3:30 PM, Monday to Friday

  Pay: $20 per hour

  Location: Clackamas

  Key Responsibilities:

  • Bonding doors and trimming doors using machinery
  • Planning doors and adjusting width on machinery
  • Reading press schedule and blueprints for the day
  • Adjusting clamps to allow doors to dry
  • Hanging doors on frames for finishing
  • Completing various tasks as assigned

  Job Description:

•  

  Assemble building material components such as wall panels, roof and floor trusses, doors, or windows.
• Process includes insertion or positioning of materials, clamping, splicing, fitting parts, and using hand and power tools.
• Plan and implement the assembly process based on set-up sheets, work orders, drawings, or blueprints.
• Gather necessary materials and tools to complete orders.
• Ensure assembled items meet specific quality specifications.
• Propose process improvements to increase finished quality or assembly efficiency.
• Plan and pace own work efficiency to meet production goals.
• Respond attentively to training from Supervisor or more senior assemblers.
• Understand and observe all safety procedures and practices.
• Attend periodic safety meetings and recommend changes to improve safety procedures.

Qualifications:

• Ability to stand and work continuously throughout the day.
• Heavy lifting required (50 to 100 lbs), team lifting for weights over 50 lbs.
• Previous assembly or carpentry experience preferred, or warehouse experience.
• High School Diploma (GED) or equivalent.

• Planner.
• Basic hand tools.
• Clamps.
• Splicers.
• Power tools.
