This teamwork ensures that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards, making the Estimator’s role crucial for successful project execution.
Job Title: Estimator/Project Manager
Job Pay: $75,000 – $85,000
A local Grand Forks company is searching for an Estimator with core responsibilities in the construction sector. The Estimator plays a vital role within the company, working directly with the Safety Director and Construction Management on large-scale projects. The Estimator will operate independently, spearheading team planning and organization, mastering time management, and ensuring a steadfast commitment to quality.
What we look for:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
5+ years in construction with proven cost estimation and project management skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of legal issues and safety standards.
Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
Leadership and team motivation abilities.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain customer relationships.
Create teams, set goals, and assign responsibilities.
Devise and revise project work plans.
Ensure project documents meet budget, quality, and safety standards.
Coordinate efforts with contractors and clients.
Monitor construction progress and conduct site inspections.
Serve as a client liaison and review team deliverables.
Research costs and gather quotes from subcontractors and suppliers.
