Job Description:

We are seeking a Network Engineer I/II with a strong focus on workstation management, general networking, and basic server skills. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our network infrastructure, ensuring reliable and efficient performance across all systems.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Workstation Management:

  • Install, configure, and maintain workstations.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues on workstations.
  • Ensure workstations are up-to-date with the latest security patches and software updates.
  • Optimize workstation performance for end-users.

• General Networking:

  • Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of network infrastructure.
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
  • Configure and manage network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Ensure network security and compliance with company policies.

• Basic Server Skills:

  • Perform basic server administration tasks.
  • Assist with server installations, configurations, and maintenance.
  • Monitor server performance and perform routine backups.
  • Troubleshoot server-related issues and escalate as necessary.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, CCNA) are a plus.
• Proven experience in workstation management and general networking.
• Basic knowledge of server administration and maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with network monitoring tools.
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies.
• Knowledge of scripting and automation tools.
• Experience with cloud services and platforms.
