Welder/Fabricator Specialist 

Schedule: Day Shift – 6:00am - 5:30pm

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00/ hour DOE

Job Description:

Our International Manufacturing and services Client is looking for Welders, Grinders and skilled workers with at least two years’ experience using hand and power tools to join their team! The Welder is responsible for using appropriate welding methods to attach pieces of materials to build or fabricate finished products and/or parts as well as setting up and adjusting specific welding equipment for the type of welding to be performed. The Welder should be able to read and/or listen to instructions, examine blueprints, and measure materials. The welder will perform welds that are appropriate and acceptable in penetration and appearance for the products fabricated.

Job Requirements:

• Must follow all safety rules and regulations, and report unsafe practices and situations
• Must be able to visually inspect tools and equipment for safety and proper operation at the beginning of each shift. Notifies supervisor or maintenance of needed repairs or replacements
• Must be able to safely operate grinders and other proper tools to remove rough edges, surplus metals, surplus weld, or scale
• Must be able to Maintain and use all required personal protective equipment as outlined in the company Safety Manual
• Must be able to understand and follow all company safety policies and procedures
• Must be able to Ability to lift, move, stack, position, align, and metal parts according to instructions
• Must be able to perform basic shop math
• Ability to read instructions, blueprints or plans, precisely measures, holds, and positions materials
• Must be able to identify different steel types and gauges
• Must be able to locate frame-identifying numbers and understand their meaning
• Ability to work with and maintain a variety of welding tools, hand tools, drill presses and saws and Grinders
• Use, read and understand different types of measuring equipment
• Be able to carry heavy doors in 2-person lift
• Lift and carry 50 pounds regularly
• Requires repeated bending and twisting
• Work overtime
• Other duties as assigned
