Position Overview:
As the Chief Operating Officer (COO), you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the company, ensuring efficiency, quality, and profitability. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of the business, managing key operational functions, and driving growth. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in commercial construction, specifically in metal buildings, and extensive experience in senior leadership roles such as General Manager, COO, or CEO.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Leadership: Oversee daily business operations, ensuring efficient and effective processes across all departments.
- Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the executive team to develop and implement business strategies that drive growth and profitability.
- Business Development: Identify new market opportunities and foster relationships with key clients and partners to expand our market presence.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Financial Management: Manage budgets, financial planning, and resource allocation to optimize company performance.
- Quality Control: Ensure that all projects meet industry standards and client expectations for quality and safety.
- Performance Monitoring: Implement metrics and KPIs to monitor and improve operational performance.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience as a General Manager, COO, or CEO is required.
- Leadership: Proven track record of successful leadership and team management in a senior operational role.
- Business Acumen: Strong understanding of business development, financial management, and strategic planning.
- Technical Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of commercial construction processes, materials, and industry best practices.
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence at all levels.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
