We are seeking a detail-oriented Logistic Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating and monitoring supply chain operations.

Train on 1st shift 6am-2pm, but will work permanently on 2nd shift 2pm-10pm. Must be able to work overtime as needed. Not every weekend or all the time, but must be open to it.


Must be able to work in a cold environment

This role will not be sitting at a desk all day. You assist other departments with operations to keep the flow moving as needed. Being able to be a team player is crucial.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Coordinate the shipment of customer orders with internal departments, contract manufacturers, 3 party carriers, and warehouses.

2. Identify, implement, and document transportation and warehouse related cost savings opportunities that includes but is not limited to customer order evaluation, coordination of Request for Quote (RFQ) process and review of inbound freight costs.

3. Establish and maintain third-party carrier relationships and freight documentation.

4. Ensure compliance with Department of Transportation or other regulatory requirements.

5. Maintain daily logs of logistics activities and calculate metrics based on logs.

6. Monitor supplier performance of inbound logistics requirements (seals, temperature recorders, etc.).

7. Update and maintain Enterprise Resource Planning system as requested. (ERP)

8. Issue approved purchase orders according to established policies and procedures.

9. Ensure compliance with customer requirements

Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

1. Two (2) year degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of formal degree.

2. Minimum two (2) years experience in logistics, transportation or related field, including experience with third party carriers, transportation and material handling equipment, shipping and receiving processes.

3. Knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) regulatory requirements.

4. Evidence of computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, web-based applications, etc.).

5. Demonstrated research skill and the ability to create reports and present findings in a professional or educational environment.

6. Highly developed communication skills including written, verbal, and presentation.

7. Evidence of analytical, numeric and problem solving abilities.

8. Evidence of strong organizational, time management and prioritization skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

9. The ability to lift and move weighted materials (50 lb min.).

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Food Industry experience
