Salary: $24-$29 an hour

One of our clients in Mansfield, MA is looking to hire a Maintenance Mechanic to join their team. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional with a few years of experience, strong mechanical skills, and solid electrical knowledge.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Pay: $24–$29 per hour (based on experience)


As part of our maintenance team, you will install, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, and physical plant systems to support safe and efficient operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Visually inspect machinery and equipment; troubleshoot and repair as needed

  • Dismantle defective machines and equipment and install new or repaired parts

  • Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other machine components

  • Install and repair electrical apparatus, including transformers, wiring, and electronic components

  • Repair plumbing, piping, air, and hydraulic systems

  • Maintain and repair physical plant systems

  • Operate cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts

  • Perform preventative maintenance activities

  • Carpentry experience is a plus

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required

  • Trade or technical school certification preferred

  • Minimum of 1 year of related experience and/or training (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude

  • Knowledge of general preventative maintenance practices

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals

  • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and fluid equipment

  • Forklift certification preferred

  • Bilingual skills are a plus

Additional Requirements

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in English

  • Ability to work safely and collaboratively with others

  • Punctual with excellent attendance

  • Ability to wear required PPE, including a respirator

  • Must provide own basic hand tools

  • Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and/or holidays when necessary

  • Position is physically demanding and requires lifting, climbing, and repetitive physical work
