Material Handler/Packager

A manufacturer in Ann Arbor is seeking a material handler candidate. You’ll be responsible for pulling, sorting, weighing, and inspecting all goods.

 What you’ll be doing as the Material Handler

• ·       Operating a forklift or electric pallet jack to load/unload trucks
• ·       Building shipping crates, packaging and palletizing products
• ·       Managing and maintaining packaging supplies
• ·       Inspecting returned dunnage, making note of any damages and discrepancies, and immediately reporting the same and ensuring timely reporting of any suspect material damage
• ·       Participate in cycle counts and physical inventory as required bi-weekly and quarterly
• ·       Tracking serial numbers of the products
• ·       Tracking shipments and resolving any shipping issues

What we look for in a Material Handler

• ·       1+ year of experience in a shipping role using ERP software, and managing inventory
• ·       1+ year of experience operating a forklift and other material handling equipment
• ·       Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50lbs

Additional information for the Material Handler

• ·       $18.50 hourly
• ·       Monday-Thursday, 8:00am – 4:30pm
• ·       Ann Arbor, 48103
