Carpenter Position and carpenter apprentice

Pay based on experience ($20-$30 per hour)

 

A North shore Manufacturer in is currently seeking a full-time Carpenter for its Amesbury, MA manufacturing plant. This position is primarily responsible for work in the door/wood shop but also will require work to be done in commercial and medical facilities when needed. Wood shop duties include the fabrication of doors, windows, and various panels for shielding purposes. The ability to read blueprints and layout hardware as well as fastener locations in the shop and occasionally in the field is a plus. Must have working knowledge of building materials involved with various carpentry activities such as wood, plastic, aluminum, drywall, and insulation, etc. They looking for self-motivated individuals that can work independently, as well as part of a team.

Job Responsibilities:

•      Show up to work on time and ready to work.
•      Follow all safety guidelines and instructions.
•      Perform quality carpentry on a consistent basis.
•      Prepare and layout of projects according to the scope of work in a shop environment and in the field on a daily basis.
•      Keeping track of time and materials.
•      Ability to fill out project documentation, inventory pick lists, timesheets and logs as necessary.
•      Have hand tools.
• Qualifications and skills:
•      Ability to operate power tools such as table saws, chop saws, drills, nail guns, and other carpentry related tools.
•     Able to lift 50 lbs.
