We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Spotter at our dry cleaning facility. The Spotter plays a crucial role in identifying stains and applying appropriate cleaning solutions to ensure garments are returned to customers in pristine condition. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Inspect incoming garments for stains, spots, and other imperfections.
2. Identify the type of stain and determine the appropriate cleaning method or solution.
3. Apply spotting agents, detergents, or solvents to stained areas, following safety protocols and manufacturer guidelines.
4. Utilize various spotting tools and equipment, such as brushes, pads, and steam guns, to remove stains effectively without damaging fabric.
5. Monitor the progress of spot treatment and adjust techniques as necessary to achieve optimal results.
6. Collaborate with dry cleaning technicians and other team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of orders.
7. Maintain accurate records of spot treatments, including types of stains, cleaning solutions used, and outcomes.
8. Follow proper procedures for handling hazardous chemicals and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
9. Assist with other tasks as needed, including garment inspection, tagging, and packaging.

Qualifications:

1. Previous experience in a dry cleaning or laundry environment preferred.
2. Knowledge of different types of fabrics and their care requirements.
3. Familiarity with various spotting agents, solvents, and cleaning techniques.
4. Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify and differentiate between types of stains.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
6. Good communication skills and the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
7. Ability to lift and move heavy garments and equipment.
8. Flexibility to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, as needed.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).
• Manual dexterity for handling small tools and equipment.
