Senior Diesel Technician

Location: Newton, Kansas

 

Are you an experienced vehicle mechanic with a passion for diesel engines and heavy equipment? We are currently seeking a Senior Diesel Technician to join a team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in vehicle mechanical repair, including trucks, heavy equipment, trailers, cars, vans, and more.

 

If you have a minimum of 5 years of experience in diesel engine repair or similar fields, we want to hear from you.

 

Responsibilities:

• Perform mechanical repairs and maintenance on medium to heavy trucks, heavy equipment, trailers, cars, and vans
• Diagnose and troubleshoot diesel engine issues efficiently and accurately
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure vehicle reliability and safety
• Repair and replace defective parts, components, or systems as needed
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while working on vehicles and in the shop environment
• Collaborate with team members to complete tasks efficiently and meet deadlines
• Provide guidance and support to junior technicians as needed
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in diesel engine repair or related fields
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing various vehicle systems, including diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems
• Experience with trucks, heavy equipment, agricultural equipment, construction equipment, and other vehicles
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
