JOB TITLE:  Welder/Door Conversion

Location: Carol Stream, IL

Shift: 1st (M-F 5:30am to 6pm, overtime)

Salary: $22/hour DOE

Description:

• This position will be part of the Welding/Door Conversion team, being knowledgeable and capable of operating hand tools, drill press, and various welding equipment. 

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.  Physically capable of performing the essential duties and responsibilities of the various processes involved in door conversion. 

Essential Duties and Experience:

• Must follow all safety rules and regulations, and report and partner in fixing unsafe practices.
• Identify and fix quality problems, stop production in the area to urgently address quality problems; initiate and participate in identifying and implementing actions to fix and prevent future nonconformities.
• Capable of doing general trade related measurement and math
• Able Read and understand engineering drawings, schematics and blueprints.
• Must be able to identify the handing of frames, doors, and applicable terminology.
• Must be able to locate frame-identifying numbers and understand their meaning.
• Must be able to identify steel types and gauges.
• Ability to work with and maintain welding tools, hand tools, drill presses, saws.
• Operates an understand the CRT (computer program/system)
• Strong communicator, with the ability to manage time wisely.
• Use, read and understand different types of measuring equipment.
• Be able to carry heavy doors - team lift.
• Lift and carry 50 pounds regularly.
• Requires repeated bending and twisting.
• Good organizational skills
