CNC Machinist

Job Summary:

A CNC (Computer Numerical Control) Machinist is responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC machines to produce precision metal or plastic parts according to technical specifications. This role requires strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC machines such as lathes, mills, and grinders
• Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD/CAM designs
• Program CNC machines using G-code or CAM software
• Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and efficiency
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
• Adjust machine settings and tooling to maintain tight tolerances
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Document production runs and report any issues to supervisors

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (technical certification preferred)
• Proven experience as a CNC machinist or similar role
• Strong knowledge of CNC programming (G-code)
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
• Familiarity with precision measuring instruments
• Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team

Working Conditions:
