Express Employment Professionals are seeking a Machine Operator for a company that manufactures books in the Depew, NY area. 

 

1st Shift: Mon-Fri 5am-2:00pm

2nd Shift: Mon-Fri 2pm-10:30pm

Pay Rate: $18-18.75 (shift differential)

 

Job Description:

• Set up and operate the bindery equipment and guillotine cutter station
• Performs continuous inspections on trimming, gluing, cover placement, cooling and cutting functions to ensure productivity targets and quality standards.
• Ensures that covers are adhering to book
• Conducts machine changeovers throughout the day
• Troubleshoots equipment and makes minor repairs as needed. Alert supervisor of any technical problems.
• Palletizes finished product
• Maintain various reports including time and production records as needed
• Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 6 months to 1 year of machine operating experience is preferred

 

Candidates should have some level of machine experience or be somewhat mechanically inclined.
