Job Description: The ideal candidate will have a passion for tax compliance, an aptitude for numbers, and a commitment to delivering accurate and timely financial solutions to our clients. As a Licensed Tax Preparer, you will play a crucial role in preparing and reviewing tax returns, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and providing valuable insights to our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review individual and business tax returns, including but not limited to 1040, 1120, 1120S, and 1065 forms.
- Utilize QuickBooks to accurately organize, maintain, and analyze financial data for clients.
- Handle payroll processing, including calculating wages, taxes, and deductions, and ensuring compliance with payroll regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries, concerns, and providing expert tax advice.
- Collaborate with team members to identify tax-saving opportunities and optimize clients' financial strategies.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest tax laws, regulations, and industry trends to ensure accurate and compliant tax preparation.
- Assist in preparing financial statements and reports for clients' review.
- Participate in regular professional development and training to enhance skills and maintain licensure.
Qualifications:
- Active state license as a Tax Preparer
- Proven experience as a Tax Preparer, with a minimum of 2 years of hands-on tax preparation experience.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software.
- Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax regulations and compliance requirements.
- Experience with payroll processing and associated regulations.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial data analysis.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Dedication to maintaining client confidentiality and upholding ethical standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
