As the Safety Product Manager, you will be an integral part of our client''s team, responsible for evaluating potential hazards, recommending safety procedures, and providing effective safety solutions for local customers. Your role involves assessing product designs for safety, investigating the causes of accidents or injuries related to product usage, and devising measures to prevent their recurrence. You''ll collaborate closely with customers and your internal team to develop precautionary label instructions, ensuring products are used safely and effectively.
Your responsibilities as the Safety Product Manager will include:
- Evaluate potential hazards and recommend procedures for detection, prevention, and elimination of product hazards.
- Conduct research to assess safety levels for products, including product designs.
- Investigate accidents, injuries, or illnesses related to product usage and develop solutions to prevent recurrence.
- Participate in the preparation of product usage and precautionary label instructions.
- Collaborate with teams and travel to customer sites (approximately 40% travel, mainly local).
- Utilize your technical background to provide sales-based solutions for safety equipment related to machines, like light scanning equipment, and light curtains.
- Offer technical expertise to identify the right safety product for various applications.
- Work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored safety solutions.
- Use your machine experience, electrical knowledge, and sensor expertise to effectively address customer safety concerns.
Qualifications:
- Technical background with machine operations, electrical systems, and sensor technologies.
- Safety manager or safety management experience
- Proven experience in safety product management or related fields.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to travel as required for training and local client visits.
