Soldering Technician

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Soldering Technician to join our electronics assembly team. In this role, you will be responsible for soldering components onto printed circuit boards (PCBs) with precision and care. The ideal candidate will have experience with through-hole and surface mount soldering and a strong attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

• Solder electronic components onto PCBs using hand soldering tools

• Work under magnification to perform fine-pitch soldering of surface mount devices (SMDs)

• Inspect solder joints and assembled boards for quality and functionality

• Read and follow assembly drawings, schematics, and work instructions

• Perform touch-up or rework soldering as needed

• Maintain a clean, organized, and ESD-safe work area

• Communicate with engineers or supervisors regarding assembly issues or improvements

Requirements:

• Previous experience soldering electronic components required

• Strong hand-eye coordination and attention to detail

• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and schematics

• Comfortable using magnification tools and working with small components

• Basic understanding of ESD safety procedures

Preferred Qualifications:

• IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001 certification (a plus, but not required)

• Experience with both leaded and lead-free soldering techniques

• Familiarity with quality control and test procedures
