What You Get to Do!
As our Cost Accounting Manager, you will play a critical role in managing our process cost accounting systems, overseeing inventory management, and contributing to the month-end closing process.
- · Lead a team of four in the Costing Department including development, training and performance management.
- · Lead the costing process, including the development and management of internal costing systems.
- · Manage cost of sales and inventory, including calculating inventory valuation and preparing monthly general ledger journal entries
- · Analyze product line profitability and identify trends.
- · Prepare supporting documents and conduct inventory analysis for annual audits
- · Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as assigned by leadership.
- · Contribution to the creation and maintenance of internally developed Perpetual Inventory systems.
- · Participate in various continuous improvement projects.
What You Will Bring…
- · Bachelors degree in accounting or finance.
- · CPA or CMA preferred.
- · A minimum of 5 years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
- · Demonstrated leadership skills.
- · Ability to independently prepare financial reports and provide data-driven recommendation
- · Strong knowledge of GAAP.
- · Proficiency in relational databases and ERP systems.
- · Advanced Excel skills.
- · Excellent math skills, including statistics & probability.
- · Effective communication sills to engage with individuals at all levels within the organization.
- · High ethical standards, integrity & trustworthiness.
- · Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- · Ability to adapt to ambiguity and facilitate change
