Who You Are!

An experienced, enthusiastic, self-motivated, and people-oriented individual to lead our growing Business Development and Sales team. The Director of Sales will be primarily responsible for leading and managing a team of Business Development Representatives (BDR) to grow sales for the organization with specific call points to include Women’s Health, Oncology, Pathology, Pain Management, Behavioral Health, Hospitals and others that need clinical labs, anatomical pathology and have esoteric needs.

  • Manages a team and a strategic pipeline that includes large – midsize opportunities.
  • Maintains in depth knowledge of clinical lab in order to effectively engage in the consultative sales approach for the purpose of bringing value to prospects and clients.
  • Represents the organization with a high degree of professionalism and ethical behavior which is to be modeled and expected of team that is supervised.
  • Serves as integral partner in developing, implementing and driving national sales campaigns and sales strategies for the sales team of BDR.
  • Leads successful product launches and new account acquisitions and maintenance to ensure critical sales growth.
  • Maintains current industry and technical knowledge to identify, develop, and pursue customer opportunities as well as foster, build and maintain relationships with current customers.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert (SME) in the field and will have an indirect leadership role in regularly collaborating with resources in marketing, support, finance, and other key functional areas within the organizational network.
  • Maintains primary residence no more than 25 miles from Pendleton, OR. Primary works site when not traveling for business is at the corporate headquarters.
  • Consistently achieves or exceeds sales goals.
  • Develops and executes a strategic territory business plan that will enable the organization to gain market share and achieve the sales goals set by executive team.
  • Schedules frequent in-person ride a longs and virtual client visits to promote our product portfolio.
  • Leverages HC1 (CRM) and other data sources for commercial sales metrics and customer management.
  • Effectively manages a funnel of leads and opportunities in CRM and provides an accurate monthly sales forecast and territory narrative for each BDR.
  • Builds and maintains deep relationships with key thought leaders and influential industry leaders in the given geography.
  • Maintains proficiency selling at all levels, including C-Suite.
  • Assumes a leadership role during the collaborative development and implementation of marketing and sales strategies to attain assigned sales objectives.
  • Demonstrates a positive attitude to drive an encouraging and supportive culture in the organization and the ability to mentor, coach and motivate the sales team to achieve defined sales goals.
  • Attends regional or national sales meetings as needed.
  • Creates and leads all required product and sales training courses.

 

What You Will Bring:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in life science or business field preferred.
  • This position requires significant levels of sales proficiency, account management, technical knowledge, and domain expertise, along with specific clinical and anatomical lab specific experience.
  • 5+ years industry sales management experience and deep knowledge in a relevant industry/commercial environment (clinical-anatomical lab, pharma, diagnostics medicine).  Existing relationships and local knowledge of Clinical, Anatomical and Pathology specialties a plus.
  • Multiple sales award winner with a demonstrated track record of success.
  • Ability to act as a resourceful, strategic and analytical thinker, and critical problem solver.
  • CRM-based pipeline management experience.
  • Proven success with new product launches and driving new business in a highly competitive and complex market.
  • Demonstrated success working in a highly matrixed environment with the ability to influence stakeholders.
  • The ability to travel up to 70% of the time for internal and external meetings.
