The Specialized Recruiting Group of Express Employment Professionals is partnered with a leading Automotive Manufacturing company located in Greenwood that is looking to hire a Purchasing Assistant!

Job Summary/Company Information:  

• The Purchasing Assistant coordinates and executes all customer demand (EDI) to achieve strategic and operational growth.  Responsibilities include the following:
• Indirect purchase of materials to support plant production and maintenance departments
• Responsible for daily update of customer demand (EDI) in ERP system
• Obtain necessary authorization per the procedure to make MRO purchase
• Monitor MRO orders to ensure on time delivery
• Provide status updates as requested
• Performs general office support and other duties as assigned

   Pay/Benefits:

• $20/hr

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm w/1 hour lunch

Requirements:

• Knowledge of purchasing practices and procedures preferably within a manufacturing company
• Strong organizational and analytical skills
• Exhibits a high level of attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to interact well with others
• Highly motivated, self-starter, willing to deliver results and meet strict deadlines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products and other basic online applications
• Ability to work independently, problem-solving and troubleshooting ability
