Salary: $23.00 - $25.00/hour

A local government department is seeking a temporary Administrative Assistant for a 1-2 month position that could go permanent. This position requires familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, common customer service practices, and spreadsheet and records preparation.   In addition to Administrative tasks, this position will interact with the general public, contractors, builders, and internal team members repeatedly throughout the day.  

 

As the Administrive Assistant you would be: 

  • Issue permits for all building projects 
  • Answer questions for builders and homeowners 
  • Issue Certificates of Occupancy as needed 
  • Collect, process and maintain records for outstanding building permit fees.  
  • Prepare monthly reports on permits issued and fees collected 
  • Develop and maintain necessary building department reports and spreadsheets 
  • Properly file all documents 
  • Act as communications liaison between Officials, builders, and residents 
  • Provide administrative assistance to the Engineering & Utilities department 
  • Attend all planning meetings; Take notes, prepare packets, prepare minutes 
  • Act as backup for receptionist and utility billing as needed 

You may qualify for the Administrative Assistant if you: 1+ years Administrative experience required. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite including Teams required.  

Pay: $19.00 - $25.00/hour 

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm
