Our client in Mahwah, NJ is looking for 2 candidates for this position for a 3-4 month project.  After the project, 1 candidate will be hired by our client.

Compensation: $24.00-$26.00/hour

 

Position Overview:

The Engineering Technician is responsible for conducting tests of Infusion systems in the Medical Device industry. This person will also be looked at to provide solutions to technical problems in research and development and manufacturing. Assists engineers, inspects products, assembles prototypes, assembles test fixtures, and helps to maintain an organized Test Lab with regards to the equipment and supplies located therein.

Essential Job Functions:

• Assist engineers as they create, modify, and test products and processes.
• Utilizing a Comparator and other measurement equipment the technician will be asked to Inspect product concepts and check processes for flaws and identify areas of improvement.
• Conduct testing and document results as per company documentation standards.
• Build and set up equipment needed for testing and or sample preparation.
• Prepare and conduct experiments with little to no supervision.
• Calculate or record results during experiments.
• Assemble concept or production equivalent prototypes as needed.
• Operate and maintain equipment used to test Infusion devices.

Requirements:

• AS degree preferred
• 1+ years Solid works experience preferred.
• Proven record of testing of devices a must
• 2-3 years of work experience in a similar role, ex. Laboratory Testing, documentation of test reports and test protocols, and Prototyping utilizing additive manufacturing or machining.
• Experience in the medical device field a plus
• Experience creating fixtures desirable.

• Must be a self-starter, efficient and multi-task
• Strong organizational and project management skills
• Work with little oversight
• Demonstrate great teamwork and ability to adjust to changing environment
