Salary: $17.00-$20.00/HR DOE

Express Employment Professionals is currently hiring a Pest Control Specialist. The primary responsibility of a pest control specialist is to detect and eliminate unwelcome pests at a facility. Some specific pest control specialist duties include: 

 

• Perform thorough inspections of the facilities to identify pest infestations and areas of concern.
• Develop and implement effective pest management strategies tailored to the unique needs of the environment.
• Utilize various pesticides and insecticides to exterminate pests, ensuring the safety and health of all individuals within the facility.
• Collaborate closely with staff to coordinate pest control efforts while adhering to safety protocols.
• Keep accurate records of pest control activities, including treatments applied, pest sightings, and recommendations for prevention.
• Train and educate staff members on best practices for pest prevention and control.
• Maintain compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to pest control and pesticide application.

Pay: $17.00/HR - $20.00/HR DOE

Schedule: 8:00am - 5:00pm; Monday-Friday ; Some flexibility requested

Requirements:

• Valid 7A General Pest Certification
• Proven professional experience in eradicating bed bugs, roaches, mice, and other pests.
• Strong knowledge of pest control products, tools, and techniques.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt pest control strategies to changing conditions.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety protocols and procedures.
• Physical fitness and stamina required for regular movement and inspections within the detention center.
• Flexibility to work outside of regular business hours as needed.
