We have an opening for a General Labor position working at a company in Athens, AL that manufactures pressure-treated lumber products. This is an evaluation-to-hire opportunity with potential for full-time placement.

 

*** THIS IS A PHYSICALLY DEMANDING JOB ***

 

Skills/Qualifications

Must be available to work 10-hours shifts.

Must be capable of working an entire work week on a consistent basis.

Ability to work outdoors regardless of weather conditions.

Ability to lift 50 lb. unassisted.

Punctuality and dependability.

 

Duties/Responsibilities

Moves and secures lumber products and other materials according to instructions.

Bands, bundles and secures material, including attaching corner protectors and loading sticks.

Stacks finished products according to predetermined bundle sizes and/or customer requirements.

Follows instructions for stacking material properly and according to company policy and customer requirements.

Labels/tags material based on the following specifications: type, size, and count.

Maintains a clean and organized work area.

Assists with other work areas by moving material, loading and unloading material carts.

Performs other duties as required.
