Job Summary:

Development Staff Accountant

The Development Staff Accountant is primarily responsible for job costing, accounts payable, and the processing of pay requests related to all hotel new construction and major renovations.  The accountant should have a strong working knowledge of job cost accounting, Timberline accounting software, Microsoft Excel, CSI Masterformat cost codes, and AIA construction pay requests and associated lien waivers.  This position has tight deadlines and includes a multitude of accounting functions.

Location: Gulf Breeze, Fl.

Position Type: Direct Hire

Pay: $50,000 + Depending on experience.

Schedule: Monday – Friday 8am-5pm

Qualifications:

1. Minimum 5 years of experience in construction project accounting.
2. Excellent financial acumen and analytical ability; displays good judgement.
3. Strong competency for customer service in professional services required.
4. Hospitality and support-oriented mind set when working with project managers and hotel managers.
5. Must have strong written and verbal skills.
6. Must have a proficiency in a variety of computer software applications in word processing and spreadsheets (MSWord, Excel, PowerPoint).
7. Must be extremely organized, exercise great time management and attention to detail.
8. Should be able to work well in teams and independently.
9. The department appreciates and champions self-starters!
