Customer Service Representative

Our locally based, long-standing wholesale company in the Sports Licensing and Gift industry is seeking a Customer Service to join our team! We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with strong listening and problem solving skills. You should be able to demonstrate solid business judgment offering unique and personalized solutions for customer issues, while supporting company policies and business values. A candidate with strong communication skills, product and market knowledge, and the ability to x-sell/up-sell customers while troubleshooting customer needs will work closely with the operations, sales, accounting, shipping & assembly teams to meet company objectives, drive revenue, and efficiently resolve customer concerns. You should be self-motivated and work cooperatively with a team and other departments; you should be able to identify and prioritize tasks per company needs and be flexible to assist with additional tasks as needed.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist in building relationships and generating new business opportunities using appropriate company resources, email marketing and follow-up techniques in order attract potential customers.
  • Complete Inbound and/or outbound calls for new and existing accounts; ability to cross-sell and up-sell during customer conversations appropriately
  • Resolves product or service problems by clarifying the customer''s complaint; determining the cause of the problem; selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem; expediting correction or adjustment; following up to ensure resolution.
  • Demonstrates command of company processes and product knowledge in order to recommend specific offerings, products, and efficient solutions
  • Will assist with company mail, sales team order entry, and maintaining accurate backorder logs (making customer backorder calls, cancelling/entering back orders)
  • Resolving and logging correction orders quickly and efficiently in the system
  • Filing invoices
  • Assisting sales team customer and order needs

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • 1+ years of relevant experience
  • Positive up-beat attitude; team player and willing to help as needed
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Work well within an office environment; daily office attendance M-F from 8am-5pm required
    • Requests for updated hours (start and end time) will be considered, consistent with full-time and target market requirements
