Engineering Technician IV

Salary: Annual Salary $60k-$85k DOE

About the Job and Responsibilities: This position is responsible for assisting various engineering departments with the design, development, and testing of products, components, or systems, with an emphasis on electronics. Supports documentation of components, procedures, and test reports to ensure successful product release into Production. This role is guided by experienced engineers to support the completion of overall project goals. Works under immediate supervision and follows instructions and pre-established guidelines as defined by their supervisor.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supports the assembly and testing of new components and products
- Modify, diagnose, and repair PCBA’s and wire assemblies
- Read and understand PCBA schematics and wire assembly drawings
- Assists in preparing information and research materials; creates and maintains engineering spreadsheets and data bases
- Takes notes and memos during meetings; type documents and reports; sort and manage files
- Provides technical support to manufacturing for production issues as needed
- Works with engineering personnel on various tasks to accomplish project goals
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Skills and Qualifications:
- Positive and professional attitude with willingness to jump in and help in all situations
- Ability to rework PCBA’s, wire assemblies, and other electrical devices
- Ability to read/update and redline engineering drawings/schematics
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, diagnostic tools, and engineering lab equipment
- Effective written and verbal communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills
- Team player, able to work collaboratively as well as independently
- Self-starter, able to take initiative and manage time effectively
- Outstanding work ethic and innate curiosity and willingness to learn
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Technical Certification; Associates degree preferred
- 10+ years of relevant experience
- High level of proficiency with personal computers. Experience with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Windows, and Internet usage
