Full time – Temp to hire

$20hr to $30hr depending on experience.

Monday thru Friday - 6am to 2:30pm

 

Busy manufacturer and foundry in Sun Valley specializing in in high quality Aluminum Die Casting and Zinc Die Casting using a unique Vacuum Die Casting Process is looking for an Facilities Maintenance Technician to join their team.

 

Summary: The Facility maintenance technician is responsible for keeping the building clean, safe, and functional. You will work with a team of other technicians, to ensure that all areas of the building are properly maintained. As part of this job, facility maintenance technicians may be tasked with performing routine cleaning tasks. However, they also commonly perform more specialized duties such as installing new equipment or fixtures, repairing broken equipment, and even handling emergency situations such as water leaks, plumbing issues and mechanical fixes.

 

Job Duties:

  • Cleaning and maintaining common areas, such as lobbies, cafeterias, hallways, stairwells, and reception areas.
  • Reading blueprints or layouts to determine work orders for repairs or improvements.
  • Conducting minor repairs to equipment or facilities such as plumbing, carpentry, electrical work, or painting.
  • Maintaining inventory of supplies and ordering supplies needed for projects.
  • Installing fire alarms, smoke detectors, sprinklers, and other safety devices.
  • Repairing or replacing damaged equipment or parts such as motors, bearings, or solenoids.
  • Conducting inspections to ensure that standards are met by contractors or subcontractors.
  • Performing basic maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs or repairing small leaks in drains or toilets.
  • Performing quality checks on HVAC, air conditioning, plumbing and electrical systems.
  • Checking and responding to security and safety issues.
  • Inspects and identifies equipment or machines in need of repair.
  • Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs.
  • Plans repair work using buildings blueprints or equipment manual as needed.
  • Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician. Examples may include repairing drywall, painting, and repairing doors and other building fixtures.
  • Performs routine maintenance on building systems.

 

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Knowledge of general carpentry and repair.
  • Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Related experience preferred.
  • Prolonged periods standing and walking.
  • Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.

 

Monday thru Friday - 6am to 2:30pm

 

$27 to $32hr depending on experience.
