Job Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Operate a system for data entry to create and maintain purchase orders.
  • Follow up with suppliers, as needed, to confirm or change orders
  • Tracks purchases ensuring timely delivery.
  • Monitors vendor quality, and maintains a current database of vendor information.
  • Provides routine administrative support.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with other vendors
  • Update internal databases/reporting with order details (dates, vendors, quantities, delivery dates, etc)
  • Maintain updated records of invoices and contracts.
  • Notify proper personnel concerning delays
  • Liaise with warehouse staff to ensure all products arrive in good condition
  • Submit all required paperwork to accounting per purchasing processes in a timely manner.
  • All other duties as assigned by purchasing manager.

Required Experience

  • High school diploma or its equivalent.
  • Quick Learner & Detail Oriented
  • Great Mathematical Aptitude
  • Data Entry Skills
  • Basic Computer Skills required (Outlook e-mail required)
  • ERP Systems (AS400/MacPac) experience a plus
  • Some purchasing experiences
  • Must have good professional verbal & written communication skills
  • Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job.
  • Ability to create and administer a task priority list based on company needs.
