Traffic Manager

 

Shift:  Day shift
Pay:  $65-85K/year
Where:  northeast side of Marion County
This is a Direct Hire Opportunity

 

Duties:  this position:

• develops and maintains transportation and distribution procedures to maximize delivery efficiency. 
• selects appropriate delivery methods to minimize delivery costs and maximize customer satisfaction.
• analyzes, handles, and reviews loss and damage claims caused by incidents/accidents.
• Manages the company private fleet maintenance program including contract management and vehicle maintenance record administration.
• Maintains all permits, registrations, and licenses required by DOT, FMCSA and applicable state regulations.
• Supervises truck drivers operating private fleet vehicles. This includes conducting DOT required security/background checks, driver qualification training.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor''s Degree (BA) from four-year college or university in Business, or related field, or one to two years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
• Certificates, licenses and registrations required: o Valid driver license with a good driving record
• Computer skills required: Contract Management Systems; Development Software; Human Resource Systems; Inventory Software; Microsoft Office Suite; Project Management Software)
