Express Employment Professionals of Jacksonville is in search of Maintenance Groundskeepers for our client's Maintenance Department in Jacksonville. Must be comfortable working in a school environment. THIS IS A YEAR-ROUND POSITION.

Must be able to pass the background requirement and drug test.

Schedule: Mon-Fri 6:30AM to 3:30PM *START date 2 to 3 weeks out (Must wait for background to clear after interview completed)

Pay: $13 hourly

Duties:

• Cut lawns
• Trims and edges
• Prunes shrubs and trees to shape and improve growth
• Removes damaged leaves, branches, and twigs
• Rakes and composts or disposes of leaves
• Sharpens tools such as weed cutters, edging tools, and shears
• Sprays lawns, plants, shrubs, and trees with fertilizer, herbicides, and pesticides using hand or automatic sprayers
• Parking lot upkeep
• Performs other general labor duties as specified by the Maintenance Director or supervisor

Requirements:

• Ability to lift moderate to heavy weight, 50 lbs or greater with assistance
• Ability to stand, walk, run, bend, stoop, push, pull, and reach for extended periods of time
• Must have reliable transportation & valid driver's license
• Knowledge of grounds maintenance, planting, cultivating, pruning, trimming shrubs and trees
• High School Diploma or GED
