 Position Summary

The position of the Accounting Manager is to help maintain the high level of service provided to our local community. Position Duties & Responsibilities

• Act as the primary support person to the Controller and the Finance Team for monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial activities
• Reconcile the organization’s bank statements and balance sheet accounts monthly in a timely and accurate manner
• Provide knowledgeable support to accounting operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, fixed assets, records management, and period-end processes
• Assist Controller in preparation of the annual budget and financial forecasts
• Operate effectively within the organization’s internal controls for financial reporting to assure compliance with all key control principles
• Provide support in preparation of annual audits for the organization

Position Requirements

• 3+ years of experience working with US GAAP, fund or project accounting, audits, budgets, grant or project management, contract monitoring, and reporting
• Experience in nonprofit accounting preferred, but not required
• Accounting degree preferred or a combination of education and experience
• Excellent communication skills and project management skills with strong attention to detail; ability to work well independently and in teams
• Ability to set priorities and perform a variety of complex and broad work assignments
• Proficiency in MS Office, with an emphasis on Excel
• Valid Oregon Driver’s license
