$19 to $21hr depending on experience.

Monday thru Friday – 7am to 4:30pm

 

Technology manufacturer in Sun Valley specializing in the design, production and support of biomedical tools like vital signs monitors and patient simulators, is looking for Assembly Techs to join their team.

Summary: Seeking an Assembly Technician with solid surface mount soldering skills to help us assemble medical equipment. This position requires some blueprint reading skills, as you must follow the schematics and inspect your work for accuracy. You will work on an assembly line, so you must have some experience working on a team.  You must be proficient with soldering, as that will be the primary function of this position. 

Responsibilities:

  • Assemble electronic products in any state, from partial to complete.
  • Performs surface mount soldering on a parts and sub-assemblies where the application of heat must be carefully controlled.
  • Diagnoses, troubleshoots and reworks non-conforming units in order to return them to acceptable status.
  • Replaces malfunctioning parts and/or sub-assemblies, as necessary.
  • Uses a variety of hand and power tools, soldering irons, jigs, fixtures, gauges, and measuring and test equipment to produce finished electronic products that meet all stated requirements.
  • Check your inventory to ensure you have the right materials on hand.
  • Use tools and machinery to assemble your part of the product.
  • Inspect products for accuracy and uniformity.
  • Report on your output for the day.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED certificate
  • Previous experience in medical equipment assembly preferred.
  • Must possess job related math skills; must demonstrate competency in basic electronics, as well as job related assembly and surface finish techniques.
  • Must demonstrate proficiency in surface mount soldering, working under extremely close tolerances.
  • Must be proficient in the use of various solders, fluxes, paste, and rinses.
  • Must be able to read and evaluate various types of readouts including blueprints (both mechanical and electronic), assembly drawings, sketches, and analysis sheets, to determine the status of units and/or their components.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot assemblies, using appropriate equipment.
  • Must be skilled in the use of various kinds of hand and power tools, soldering irons, jigs, fixtures, gauges, measuring and test equipment as required by the job.
  • Requires skill in fitting, adjusting, compensating and testing under close tolerances using prescribed methods.
  • Must be able to follow both oral and written instructions when performing job duties.
  • Must demonstrate good interpersonal skills and must be able to get along with coworkers.
  • Must be able to work with limited supervision.
  • Manual dexterity.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
