About the Client:

 

This is a well-established Shasta County company with multiple departments.

 

About the Position:

 

Our client is seeking a very experienced inventory management/purchasing candidate for their large warehouse with multiple product lines.  You must have 1-2 years’ experience minimum, in a warehouse setting doing inventory management and purchasing, to be considered.

 

Job Summary:

 

  1. Purchasing for all departments within the company
  2. Working closely with management and upper management negotiating with suppliers our pricing and programs. Develop good relations with our suppliers.
  3. Keep pricing updated in the POS System and work with the managers to establish market pricing.
  4. Maintaining accurate descriptions in system and manufacturers’ part numbers.
  5. Maintaining accurate costs and ensure that it matches our negotiated pricing.
  6. Freight cost management and minimizing freight costs.
  7. Running daily reorder reports for all departments.
  8. Running inventory variance reports weekly and provide reports to Operations Manager each week.
  9. Running backorder reports daily and contacting suppliers on backorders and communicating back to each of the departments to update them.
  10. Running monthly negative inventory reports and fact find the errors and reporting it to management. Supply report to Operations Manager each month.
  11. Maintaining inventory needs in all departments and adjusting Min / Max as market trends change.
  12. Making sure product is checked in correctly and packing slips are correct with our purchase orders.

 

Inventory Control:

 

  1. Maintain receiving logs and keep it updated with all incoming orders.
  2. Work with managers and upper management on Inventory organization.
  3. Keep bin locations up to date and accurate in the system.
  4. Document all inventory adjustments correctly.
  5. Receiving: Label all product for each department when receiving inventory.
  6. Conduct and schedule inventories in all departments with each of the managers.
  7. Investigating inventory variances.
  8. Warranty submissions and track credits from suppliers.
  9. Running never sold reports monthly and identify what we can send back to the supplier. Supply report to Operations Manager each month.
  10. Handle all inter-department requisitions and make all necessary adjustments between the departments.

 

Essential Functions:

 

  1. Responsible for Inventory accuracy.
  2. Responsible for all cost and retail pricing updates.
  3. Responsible for knowing all freight programs and discounts from suppliers.
  4. Responsible for understanding new software program and how to make the system work efficiently.
  5. Purchasing inventory based on our payment terms.

$24.00-$28.00 + per hour depending on experience
