Schedule: 1st Shift, Monday – Friday from 8am – 4:30pm

Pay: Starting at $19.00-$20.00 per hour (depending on proven prior experience, plus, pay increase based on performance after probation period)



The Shipping/Warehouse Associate is primarily responsible for shipping and receiving products for the warehouse facility. This department ensures that items are shipped in the most efficient and cost-effective manner and according to the customer’s instructions. The Shipping/Warehouse Associate is responsible for coordinating all daily shipping & warehouse activities. Primary contact for daily shipping & warehouse issues within the department.

  • Must be able to operate 3 different types of equipment: Order picker, electric pallet jack, and electric reach truck machine
  • Must be comfortable with heights
  • Must be committed to 100% on time delivery
  • Must have data entry and computer skills
  • Must be able to operate different types of computer systems: UPS Worldship, FedEx Powership, and the Warehouse Management System


  • Ensures quality control procedures are being followed to ensure the product meets the customer’s specifications
  • Works with the I.T. Department to assure that our website is performing for our customers
  • Meets standards, goals, and objectives set by the Plant Manager
  • Using FedEx and UPS shipping software
  • Consistently exhibits positive professional attitude while interacting with co-workers, customers, and vendors
  • Responsible for prioritizing, scheduling, and communicating “hot list” to respective employees along with creating a recovery plan when problems arise
  • Coordinates and ensures completion of the annual inventory of all warehouse products
  • Provides accurate customer inventory reports to include history reports as requested
  • Ensures that warehousing space is appropriately consolidated and storage capacity is maximized
  • Ensures accuracy of inventory and reports
  • Utilizes the most cost effective and efficient shipment method when the customer does not specify it
  • Supports and follows written policies and procedures of the organization
  • Responsible for proper use of computer, equipment, and supplies
  • Frequently has daily contact with customers, production personnel, customer service, and trucking agents.
  • At the end of your shift, review the production schedule and send any appropriate e-mails updating the Plant
  • Must be able to complete other duties as assigned

Education, Experience, and other Requirements

  • High School Graduate or G.E.D.
  • Proven prior Shipping/Receiving experience in a Warehouse setting
  • Data entry experience to include a Windows based system
  • Must be able to lift 5 – 50 lbs. throughout a shift (8-12 hours)
  • Must be able to perform in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Must be able to make recommendations for process improvement and facilitate change within the shipping unit
